Creative Life: celebrating finished work

07 Jan

Completion of a project can be a time for celebration.  If your work turned out well, you can certainly celebrate that.  If it turned out not so well, you can celebrate the learning at least.  Either way, you engaged in your process once more.  You carried a concept, nurtured it in your artist’s womb, and delivered something brand new into the world, with all the accompanying travails.

What is the nature of your celebration?  For Lolita, our beloved Composer of Music for Art, it is about reconnecting with her community, building her community.  After the necessary isolation associated with her creative process, she has an opportunity between projects to share her work, her experiences.  And equally important, she has an opportunity to delve more deeply into the work of others – to comment, provide feedback and support.

Needless to say, Lizard King is always happy when Lolita has finished up a project.  He knows the chances of a little snuggle and a smooch are much improved and he is THERE!

spark on!
